"CBFS
delivered more options for our medical plan that, in turn
allowed us to meet the needs of our employees...with a
savings in cost! They also built a market value wage and
salary plan that has helped us balance total compensation
and keep us on a competitive track."
Paul Wood,
President/CEO
Georgia Electric Membership Corp.,
Tucker, GA
"With
today’s double digit increases on health insurance I had expected
that we would be hit very hard. However, thanks to Cooperative
Benefits and Financial Services we received a quality product
with almost no increase....a significant savings for us."
Kathleen Grizzle, Manager of Benefits
Cobb Energy Management Corp.,
Marietta, GA
"We
have been used to doing our benefits (pension/401k) in the same
way – we were in a rut. CBFS provided other “opportunities”,
got us to think “out of the box” and delivered new solutions
that are on the cutting edge of benefits to provide employees
more investment options and, best of all, be cost effective
for our company."
Carmen Williams, Manager of Human Resources
Lee County Electric Cooperative,
Fort Meyers, FL
"I
consider one of the most significant challenges facing co-op
CEOs today is the ability to attract and retain key personnel.
Winston's presentation of factual and justifiable data to support
competitive compensation strategies has taken CVEA a long way
toward the direction we sorely needed in light of the changing
industry."
Robert A. Wilkinson, CEO
Copper Valley Electric Association,
Glenallen, AK
Compensation
can be a contentious issue with Board members and employees
sometimes placing the CEO in a difficult position. In my opinion,
these issues are best dealt with by using an outside consultant
adding credibility to the changes impacting employee compensation
and getting Board and employees to buy-in to a formal compensation
plan.
Winston
Tan provided the expertise
and professionalism required to skillfully communicate on all
levels of the organization the need for change and assisted
with the implementation of a formal compensation plan.
URE
can be assured its members are receiving the quality service
they have come to expect from the Cooperative partly due to
the people employed using the knowledge, experience and skill
sets necessary... employees that require a fair and equitable
compensation plan. Winston Tan deserves a great deal of credit
for helping URE reach its objective to implement a formal compensation
plan.
